Research Director (Remote - Canada or US Based)
Position Summary:
The Research Director works directly with clients across a variety of categories and industries in North America. In this role, you will manage quantitative research and leverage multiple research methodologies. In addition, you will be a leader and mentor to a team of market researchers. The ideal candidate is an experienced and strong client service leader, who thrives on executing and delivering flawless research services, while simultaneously working to build and maintain client relationships.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Manage day-to-day responsibilities of research projects, from sell-in to completion: Client consultation, proposal development, oversight or creation of research instruments, analysis and presentation of final deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget and on strategy for the client.
- Be responsible to develop and maintain overall business relationship with key clients assigned.
- Able to communicate and handle the senior levels of the key clients (in addition to their research team) in order to strengthen client relationship.
- Responsibility for overall quality of all projects pertaining to the key clients assigned.
- Responsible for planning the career path of your direct reports.
Ideal Candidate has the Following Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of supplier side market research experience
- Experience ideally includes shopper insights along with extensive consumer insight background
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong quantitative research and survey design, sampling plans and analysis
- Excellent customer service skills- strong written & verbal communication skills with well-developed interpersonal skills
- Superior organizational skills, strong attention to detail & demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong client service orientation
- Ability to manage complex, multi-faceted project budgets and to create, manage, and commit to a project plan, schedule and budget
- Highly motivated, self-directed & possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Minimally completed Bachelor’s Degree
