Senior Manager Qualitative Research

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Qualitative Research Manager will play a lead role in the management of our research studies. The ideal candidate is an experienced and strong qualitative research manager, who thrives on executing and delivering flawless research services, while simultaneously working to build and maintain client relationships. The role of the Senior Manager Qualitative Research is to provide leadership across all aspects of research projects, including project set up, moderating, debrief writing and presentation. As well, to provide sound research counsel to clients, as the project unfolds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the research process from proposal writing and research design, analysis and interpretation of results through to preparation of reports and delivery of presentations
  • Moderate across a range of client brand challenges, including store of the future, package design testing, innovation and new product development.
  • Demonstrate experience in or exposure to qualitative methodologies, such as focus groups, Online Communities, in-home & in-store interviews.
  • Identify deep consumer insights, make sound marketing and brand strategy recommendations.
  • Convey research outcomes through easy to digest, visually compelling storytelling (both verbally and in written form).
  • Ability to passionately engage clients when presenting the brand story to clients.
  • Develop an understanding of our clients’ business issues and the industries in which they operate
  • Deliver world-class client service marked by high levels of responsiveness, accuracy, insight, urgency, attention to detail, professionalism and follow-through
  • Maintains project budget and works with team to ensure all aspects of the study continue to operate smoothly

Ideal Candidate has the Following Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of supplier side market research experience with excellent understanding of consumer research, research methods
  • Strong qualitative research design and moderating skills
  • Excellent customer service skills- strong written & verbal communication skills with well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Superior organizational skills, strong attention to detail & demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong client service orientation
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-faceted project budgets and to create, manage, and commit to a project plan, schedule and budget
  • Highly motivated, self-directed & possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines
  • Enjoy working in a team environment

The Market Research Analyst role will be principally responsible for interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations based upon the research findings. To accomplish this task, we are looking for individuals who will work with our clients (either internal or external) to understand, define and document the overarching business objectives. The Market Research Analyst is expected to apply qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret the data and produce substantiated recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicating with clients to understand and document the business objectives
  • Formulating analysis plans and acquiring client sign-off
  • Designing or assisting in the development of questionnaires and moderator guides to ensure the necessary data is captured
